Suzanne’s famous Green Chile Stew will be on the menu for the last Wednesday of August! We’ll also have something on the side for the kiddos. Looks like the powwow down in Central Cali was poppin this weekend, so if you’re looking to get some practice in before the next one, stop by IFH this Wednesday night.

If you feel like sharing one of your favorite dishes, bring it through too. Come eat, visit with the Native community, and get that powwow practice in.

last week we had a lively time with our Native elders at the casino!!

We’re bringing it back to those days when goulash was something to look forward to.

It’s a brand-new week, and some of our champion powwow dancers are making their way back to the Urban Rez after visiting their last powwow. If you’re missing that good powwow feeling and being around your people, stop on by Wednesday. Grab a bite to eat, catch up with your fellow Natives, and get that practice in. Goulash will be ready at 6 PM, with Drum & Dance Practice following at 7 PM.

IFH Gardening Day is happening on Sunday, August 30th
Come spend some time outside, get your hands in the dirt, enjoy a meal with the community, and help us care for the IFH garden. It’s a good chance to slow down, get grounded, and put in some meaningful work together.

Quick menu update for tonight!
We have plenty of tortillas on hand, so we’re switching things up and making Tex-Mex Bake for tonight’s potluck dinner.
Looking forward to seeing our Native community tonight for good food, Drum & Dance, and time together. Should be a good one!

The dates are out for August Native Men’s Group, with the first meetup of the month happening tonight!

If you’re looking to do something different, connect with your fellow Native brothers, share some laughs, grab a snack, or simply have a space to unwind, stop by IFH tonight.

There will be no Beading Circle tomorrow. Beading Circle will resume next week.

IFH Staff, Youth Interns, Rooted in Traditions Youth Culture Camp participants, and their families will be enjoying a BBQ and swimming together.

August Drum & Dance Practice is here!

We’re looking forward to another good month of food, visiting, getting that powwow practice in, and spending time together as a community. There’s always something special about seeing everyone come through the doors; it feels like a family gathering in one place.
