US Military just released the 2022 demographics report. [https://download.militaryonesource.mil/12038/MOS/Reports/2022-demographics-report.pdf ] Interesting stuff for number nerds... Noteworthy: The 1.3 million active-duty members are 82.5% male. Women increased 14% between 2005 and 2022. There was one officer for every 4.5 enlisted personnel in 2022 (+13% since 2005). Racial minorities are 31% but only 12% of generals. Single parents head 4% of families.
