This year, as we remember October 7th, we remember the pain of the past, and we hold one another close as we continue to heal. Because warmth and light come not only from the flames of a candle but also from community and togetherness.

Tradition connects the sukkah’s roof covering with the clouds that sheltered our ancestors in the wilderness. Beneath it, we gather to celebrate and imagine what else we might build together.

That spirit lives in the work of UpStart and the bold Jewish leaders we inspire: reimagining how we gather, opening doors to new ideas, and creating more ways to belong.

May this Sukkot bring fresh perspective, shared inspiration, and room for possibility. Chag Sameach (Happy Holiday)!

Yom Kippur asks us to set down what we've been carrying. What follows is room for forgiveness, for growth, for committing to something new. UpStart and the bold Jewish leaders we inspire do that work all year, helping their communities move from release to possibility.

G'mar chatimah tovah (May you be sealed for good)

You spent a year building something. Then you found out nobody needed it.
UpLift: Innovators is ten weeks of learning the innovation skills to test what’s needed and what isn’t before you’ve built the whole thing.
Join us this Fall for a cohort experience built for anyone developing an idea or project that strengthens North American Jewish life. The premise is simple: collective wisdom leads to stronger thinking.
Your idea might live inside the organization you already work for, or it might be something you are exploring entirely on your own. Both are welcome here.
All you need is the seed of an idea.

Save $40 with early bird pricing when you register by Friday, September 18th. Registration closes Monday, October 5th, at 11:59PM PT/2:59AM ET.
