• Check your state’s current voter ID 🪪 and registration requirements.
• If you need an ID or supporting documents, find out how to obtain them.
• Share the information with friends, family, students, older voters, and anyone who may not have voted recently.
• If you don’t have the required ID when you go to vote, ask for a provisional ballot on the spot.
• Save the voter-protection hotline number to your phone and report problems at the polls

Rep. Lateefah Simon stands against the effort to open a coal terminal (!) in Oakland.

Our West Oakland communities have been clear: no coal in Oakland.

Today, I filed an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2027 Energy and Water Appropriations bill that would prohibit funding for the proposed Oakland coal export terminal project. This coal terminal would not only impact West Oakland, but also communities with rail lines like West Berkeley and Albany.

You sent me to Washington to represent and work for us, and I am using every tool at my disposal to amplify the voices of our West Oakland neighbors and put a stop to this coal terminal project. I will continue to keep our district updated on my work.
