lifornia Sickle Cell Warriors with a one-of-a-kind experience that is not only tailored to their needs as a Warrior but caters to who they are as individuals while providing opportunities for them to discover, learn, develop, and grow. Camp Arroyo is designed for campers with special needs, funded by The Taylor Family Foundation, and run by The YMCA on East Bay Regional Parks District grounds. In order for the camper to be successfully enrolled in camp, the full camper application must be completed and submitted along with the Health History form signed by the camper’s physician and both Consent for Participants and Waiver and Release signed by a parent/guardian for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and Taylor Family Foundation.
