free calendula starts! heal yr wounds 2k15!
this frequent blooming flower supports the skin and connective tissues. it is a blood purifier and helps to cleanse the liver. it has antiseptic, inflammatory, and astringent properties. apply a poultice of petals to cuts, wounds, bruises, and burns to promote healing and reduce scaring. also good for acne and bug bites! it can also be taken as a tea, especially helpful for a sore throat. (but if yr pregnant only use it topically).
it is an annual that will reseed itself. partial sun.
calendula is ruled by the sun and can help shed light on old wounds. it is beneficial, and said to bring luck in legal matters. hang a wreath of flowers over the door to turn away negativity from your home. folk lore says a woman who touches the petals of the calendula flower with her bare feet will understand the language of the birds.
it makes a yellow dye with an alum mordent (best on wool, we hear)
