“I am so happy with this car and so thankful for the program that made it possible”
After years of relying on public transportation, Jack DeRosa needed a reliable way to run everyday errands and get to medical appointments, but rising gas prices and constant maintenance made his old vehicle feel like less of a solution and more of a burden.
With grant support from the Clean Cars For All program, Jack was able to overcome the financial barriers that stop many from investing in electric vehicles and upgrade to a 2019 Chevy Bolt. Today, Jack feels secure in a reliable vehicle that saves him money and reduces his carbon footprint 💪🌱
CCFA is administered by the Bay Area Air District, and case management services are provided by GRID Alternatives. The program’s goal is to help those from underserved communities access affordable and clean transportation. CCFA is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment - particularly in disadvantaged communities.
