The Kapor Center advances innovation and economic progress by engaging underrepresented individuals in technology and entrepreneurship through our work in education, community engagement, diversity and inclusion, research and venture capital. The Kapor (pronounced KAY-por) Center for Social Impact is an Oakland-based organization that is relentlessly pursuing creative strategies to leverage information technology for positive social impact.

Today at Clinton Global Initiative, PRIME Alliance announced City of El Paso, City of Little Rock, and The City of Oakland, as its inaugural cohort of cities. Together, we'll reimagine how governments partner with startups to solve urgent public problems.

PRIME Alliance is a multi-year KaporCenter initiative that connects gap-closing startups with cities and states for partnerships that could unlock economic benefits for communities nationwide.
