Feeling grateful for the powerful work being done within the Victim Offender Education Group (VOEG) at the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo. We are holding our Surrogate Survivor Impact Panel over two days with tremendous support from the Administration.

Grateful for the work of the Catholic Mobilizing Network to end the death penalty, promote restorative practices, and promoting dignity for all those impacted by the criminal legal system.

Today, December 14, is the Jubilee of Prisoners — the final celebration of this Jubilee Year.

For this Jubilee recognizing those in prison, we call to mind the nearly two million people in the United States who are incarcerated, detained, or awaiting ex*****on. In solidarity, born from our shared dignity as children of God and members of the Body of Christ, we are called to participate in a ministry of restorative practices which seek to make whole all people impacted by crime and the carceral system.

In collaboration with the Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition, Catholic Mobilizing Network assisted in preparing a resource for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in honor of the Jubilee of Prisoners.
