It is officially the start of a brand-new Bay Area Urban Debate League season.

We need volunteer judges to make this event a true success. If you can spare just two hours this Saturday (10/17) to listen to the next generation of leaders, your time can inspire a Bay Area youth to keep investing in their unique talents—from deep curiosity and empathy to advanced reading comprehension.

No experience? No problem. We provide all the necessary on-site training. This is a powerful opportunity to connect with local youth, sharpen their critical thinking, and support the leaders of tomorrow.

Come for the competition, stay for the energy!

When: Saturday, October 17th
Where: Fremont High School, 4610 Foothill Blvd, Oakland, CA 94601
Perks: Breakfast, lunch, and coffee provided.
BAUDL alumni will be paid per $35 round judged.

Ready for the 2026–2027 season? Bay Area Urban Debate League is excited to welcome you to the Student Leadership Council (SLC) kick off this Friday August 21st.

If you are looking to level up your competitive debate skills, expand your leadership skills-, and connect with peers across the Bay Area, SLC is the place to be.

What SLC offers:

-High-caliber debate coaching and public showcase opportunities

-Networking with professionals across diverse career fields

-FREE travel opporutnites

-A welcoming space to build lifelong friendships across different schools

Dinner provided at every meeting.

When: Every Friday | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM (during the school year)

Where: BAUDL Office, 287 17th Street, Unit 201, Oakland, CA (Zoom option available for remote participants)
