ODOG VISION

ODOG envisions Oakland and the Bay Area as place where people with dogs are welcome everywhere in their community and more education about animals prevents abuse and builds healthy communities. ODOG MISSION

Our mission is to make Oakland a dog friendly city. Oakland collaborates with public and private partners to make Oakland in the Bay Area welcoming and safe for dogs and the peopl

e who care about them. We advocate for equitable access to parks, housing and public space for people who are accompanied by dogs. We advocate for financial resources to be sure that dogs and their people can use parks and public spaces. We work to make sure that all animals in Oakland have a safe and suitable home where they are healthy and well cared for and have places where they can exercise safely. We support those who need animals with them for mental and physical well-being and we respect and educate those who not do not want to be with dogs.

Hi, I’m Seabreeze — just over a year old, 42 pounds, and ready to find my safe place in the world.

I’m a gentle, sensitive girl who needs a little time to warm up, but once I trust you, I’m all about sweet lean-ins and soft cuddles. I already know some obedience skills and would love a calm, patient home to help me keep learning and growing. Maybe even try a little agility for fun?

I’m polite with other dogs — more of a quiet observer than a social butterfly — and a confident dog friend could help me feel even braver.

I’m looking for a dog-savvy, peaceful home where I can bloom at my own pace.

Come meet me at Oakland Animal Services
1101 29th Ave, Oakland, CA
Adoption Hours:
Thursday: 12–7pm | Friday–Sunday: 12–3pm

With a little patience and a lot of love, I’ll be the sweetest companion you could ask for.

😱😢We wish we had better news, but the intake of dogs just keeps coming ... and coming ... and coming. Today, February 18, we have 104 large dogs living in space designed to hold 73. This creates a stressful and unsustainable situation for humans and dogs and we desperately need to find new homes for as many big dogs (25+ lbs) as possible today.

That's where you can help - we will be ready for you at Oakland Animal Services today until 3 p.m., with no appointment required. Please stop by and take a dog home with you!
