Another wish fulfilled 💛 Leanna was diagnosed with a posterior fossa ependymoma at just 15 years old.

Since then, she has faced multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, focal proton radiation, and ongoing monitoring and treatment-related complications.

Through it all, Leanna continues to find joy in the things she loves most, animals, art, music, travel, and adventure. 🐾🎨🎶✈️

On August 6, Do It For The Love had the incredible honor of granting Leanna’s wish to see Blake Shelton live in concert. 🎶

Fourteen years ago, a single act of love changed everything.

It began with Hope and Steve. Steve was living with ALS, and Hope reached out with one simple wish: to help him experience the joy of seeing Michael Franti perform at the Wanee Festival.

During the set, Steve asked Hope to lift him from his wheelchair so they could dance together onstage. In front of thousands of people, they shared a moment that reminded everyone what truly matters, love, connection, and the healing power of music.

That unforgettable moment sparked a vision for Michael and Sara Franti: What if every family facing unimaginable challenges could experience a moment like this? Needless to say, Do It For The Love was born.

Today, 14 years later, we find ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude.

Grateful for Hope and Steve, whose courage and love inspired a movement. Grateful for every artist, venue, donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter who has believed in this mission. And most of all, grateful for every wish recipient and family who has trusted us to be a small part of their journey.

Together, we’ve witnessed thousands of moments where music has brought hope, healing, laughter, tears, and memories that last a lifetime. Those moments are the heartbeat of Do It For The Love.

As we celebrate 14 years, we’re reminded that none of this would exist without Hope and Steve’s story and a community that continues to say “yes” to compassion.

From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for believing in the healing power of music and for helping us continue this mission, one wish at a time. Here’s to the next chapter. 🤍
