Have you been looking for an affectionate companion who loves to play and entertain? Well 1 year old Smith is all those things combined! His foster says he's full of little quirk's, telling tales of him hanging out in the kitchen sink and hunting decorative pillows from under the coffee table. Smith's only request is that he be a solo cat, but he promises to fill your home with all kinds of love and energy. If Smith sounds like your kind of guy, check out his full bio online at www.cattownoakland.org/smith, and send any questions or adoption inquiries to [email protected].

Sweet Mia has found her home!

After living on the streets, Mia was brought to the shelter where it was discovered she had an infection, and micro-ophthalmia - a genetic eye condition that meant surgery to remove and close the eye. She went to a Cat Town foster home to heal for 2 weeks, but came down with a skin condition and ended up being in foster care for closer to two months.

All throughout her trials and tribulations, Mia was the sweetest, most lovable cat! Her foster mom says she would sit on laps 24/7 if she could, and likes to nudge for pets by gently placing her paw on your face. She's also got a total hunter's spirit, sometimes chasing down a toy while she still has her last catch in her mouth.

Now, Mia is going home with her new family. Her adopters fell in love with her even before her skin condition popped up, and patiently waited for her to heal for two months. With that kind of dedication, we're certain Mia will get all the love and affection she deserves!

We're happy to say that 5 more cats found their homes this past week, including bonded foster kittens, Penny and Humphry, and Cafe cats Irving and Lovejoy.

Senior sweetheart, Bailey (bottom right), whose been waiting for her adopter in a foster home, also found her new family. When we first met Bailey at the shelter, she had an injury to her face, a lump on her leg, dental issues, and was in the begging stages of kidney disease. With assistance from the Friends of Oakland Animal Services towards bailey's dental care and lump removal, we were finally able to get her out of the shelter and into a loving foster home where she could enjoy all the pets, cuddles, and laps she craved. And now she'll get to do all those same things in her new home with her new adopter!

When we first met Penny and Humphry as kittens at the shelter, they were shut down, hissy, and just generally unhappy. After some time with Oakland Animal Services they made their way to a Cat Town foster home, where after just 10 days they found their new family. Happy tails to this bonded pair! Check out all our cats available for adoption on our website at www.cattownoakland.org/adopt.

Some of you may remember that Grady originally landed at the Cat Town Cafe, but was moved to a foster home where he could enjoy a stress free, cat free environment. Now he's ready and waiting to find his new family!

This guy is a total sweetheart - he loves nothing more than cheek and tummy rubs, and he's more than happy to offer up a friendly reminder with a head-butt into your hand or leg. His foster says he's very laid-back and friendly with everyone he meets. He will need to be an indoor cat due to his FIV+ status, but since he always wants to be near his people, he doesn't mind!

If you'd like to make Grady a part of your family, please reach out to [email protected], and be sure to check out his full bio online at www.cattownoakland.org/grady.
