Black Art on the Move: Red Bike & Green mural Ride with Refa One
Join us Saturday, October 10th at 12 PM for a powerful and inspiring mural cycling tour through Oakland, celebrating the legendary art of the Aerosoul crew with visual artist, educator, and director of the AeroSoul mural collective, Refa One.
Refa One is a native of the Bay Area whose iconic works include the Oscar Grant mural at Fruitvale BART and numerous historic Black Panther Party murals across Oakland. For decades, Refa has been using public art to uplift, educate, and transform communities through a bold lens of social justice and Black cultural pride.
This tour is led by Red Bike & Green and is exclusively for the Black/African community — an intentional space to connect, ride, and reflect with the artist himself.
We’ll meet at King Makers of Oakland at 1035 7th street at 12 noon and roll together through West Oakland, stopping at over a dozen murals along the way. It’s a slow-roll, beginner-friendly ride designed to be welcoming for cyclists of all levels.
Ride ends at LIFE IS LIVING FESTIVAL
