Thanks to Warthog Adham for filming and interviewing some of the Hogs at the reunion. Thank you to the coaches and all those that donated to keep the Warthogs thriving and changing lives!

Former Warthog Captain Moni Tongauiha has played for the Eagles against the All Blacks, earned his 50th MLR cap this season, and earned the NOLA GOLD MVP! Keeps making us all proud. Way to be an example Moni!

In 2011, this group of young men won the Northern California High School Rugby Silver Division Championship.

4 have graduated college, one more is finishing up.

2 of them earned full ride scholarships for football. One of them was a Junior College National Champion. Another one of these champions is attending college on a partial football scholarship, impressing his head coach fit to his work ethic and character inside the classroom. 3 of the college graduates now are successful employees and leaders at Webcor Builders.

One of these champions plays in Major League Rugby for Nola Gold and earned his spot on the MLR Best 15 players of the week, 3 times this past season. He’s also brought one of his younger brothers to earn his own spot on the team as a reserve player this season.

One of these champions has continued following his passion for being a music artist while raising his young family.

Three of our brothers in on this championship team were taken from us in two separate vehicle accidents. We are so thankful for the time we had with them and the teammates and brothers they were to us. We will always keep David, George, & Mauni in our hearts.

We all showed up to the championship with only 2 reserves. We came from behind in every game to win it all. We were not only the best at rugby that season, but it was mentioned at every match how awesome our sportsmanship was as well! Congrats and happy 10th Anniversary to everyone that was a part of that amazing season!

Another Warthog Legend graduated from college that he earned a full ride scholarship for football. Siliveinusi Tomasi did all of this so far....
- Junior year ranked #9 in state for heavyweight wrestling
- won NCYRA Silver Division Championship in rugby
- earned Player of a rugby camp and got invited to the US Rugby Under 20’s tryouts
- played and won a gold medal for winning the Rugby World Trophy in Utah
- played for three weeks in France for the Under 20’s US team against rugby nations such as England and France
- was an assistant coach for the Warthogs for a season
- served on Latter Day Saint Mission and learned to speak Spanish
- played football for Laney College and won the Junior College National Championship
- earned full ride scholarship at University of Idaho and graduated with a degree in communications
Super proud of this young man. He lost his mother in the past year and we are certain that she is smiling in pride down on Vei. Solid character and work ethic when we met him. So glad he was part of the family!

Alex Glover played high school rugby for Berkeley. He joined the North Bay/Warthogs team for the National Invitational Tournament. It was during this tournament that Alex considered declining a full ride scholarship to Humboldt for football. He didn’t think he could plan on playing in the NFL that way. He chose to pursue rugby, played for Santa Barabara Rugby Academy in which he was acknowledged for his outstanding character. They sent him to a 12 week rugby camp in New Zealand. Then he earned his way to a partial scholarship playing rugby for one of the best collegiate rugby programs in the country, St. Mary’s. This kid from Oakland with an amazing mother who raised her son right, didn’t only defy odds, but he paved his way. He made his moves count, and now has a degree from St. Mary’s. We didn’t get to be a part of the majority of his high school career, but we are extremely grateful to have been a part of his successful future. Without his character and work ethic, his accomplishments would have been impossible! Thank you to those that donated and supported our program over the years. Your donations made it possible for us to assist Alex to pay tuition over the years. You helped make this happen!!!!
