Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc was founded in 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. These women dared to depart from the traditional coalitions for Black Women and sought to establish a new organization predicated on precepts of scholarship, service, sisterhood and Finer Womanhood. The trail blazed by the founders has been traversed by thousands of women dedicated to the objecti

ves and ideals of the sorority. Epsilon Phi Zeta chapter was chartered in 1948 to serve the East Bay in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our chapter president is Pamela J. The chapter's longest running event is the Christian Women of the Year Luncheon, now in it's 32nd year. Each year, Epsilon Phi Zeta chapter gives thousands of dollars scholarships to Bay Area high school seniors and conducts countless hours of community service. We also operate a Stork's Nest, and an Amicae auxiliary (women who support the Sorority's precepts but aren't eligible for membership).
