Project pride Residential Program for women with Substance Use Disorders Project Pride is a non profit that helps mothers and children.

DONATIONS will bring materials to our childcare center and directly help the children of Project Pride

At Project Pride invites mothers to bring their child into the residential program with them while the mothers work on recovery from substance use disorders and address mental health issues. Mothers receive treatment in the form of groups and individual therapy. Also, mothers learn parenting ski

lls and work with children in the co-op style childcare facility onsite. As time passes, both the women and the children achieve greater pride in themselves, their parenting, and their children. Project Pride takes in to account the disruptions and traumas that substance abuse can create for children. Our goal is to help the children adjust to changes that occur when entering a program. Through compassion and respect we attempt to create a space for the children that is nurturing and safe in our child enrichment program. Our goal is to provide some normalization to their life that can carry on when the family leaves the program. A strong consideration for the staff and mothers participating at Project Pride is that the children did not choose to be within a program and are unfortunately “caught in the crossfire” of addiction. Supporting the mothers and teaching them that there are new ways to parent rather then what they had experienced as a child is vital for our children. Parenting does not come with instructions. Modeling and suggesting ways to parent will help these women and children throughout the generations.
