Colorado, get ready. ⚽🏔️ The 4th Annual Mile High Futsal Cup is coming to Denver, CO November 20–22, 2026!

The tournament will bring together boys and girls teams from U7 through Adult divisions for three days of competition at the Volo Sports Arena (previously the RiNo Sports Arena).

It’s another chance to compete, connect and be part of the growing Futsal community – this time in the Rocky Mountain Region.

Did you know the U.S. Futsal Women’s National Select Team won the 2025 IFA Women’s Nations Cup? Yep. 🏆 🇺🇸

Next stop: Spain. 🇪🇸

The U.S. Futsal Women’s National Select Team is headed to Blanes, Spain, October 15-19 to compete in the 2026 IFA Women’s Nations Cup – and defend its title.

Led by Head Coach Marcia Tafarel, the U.S. will take on international competition from Spain, Scotland and Australia as the team looks to build on its undefeated championship run in 2025.

It’s another opportunity to represent the United States on the international stage, and to showcase the talent, passion and continued growth of women’s Futsal in this country.

Important update for the 2026–2027 season. ⚽

Beginning with the upcoming season, U.S. Futsal will transition to the school-year age group matrix, aligning with the age group structure being implemented by most youth members of U.S. Soccer.

This change will affect how teams are placed into age divisions for U.S. Futsal competitions, including regional and national events.

We know changes like this require planning for clubs, coaches, players and families. Our goal is to create greater consistency across the sport, and we appreciate everyone working through the transition with us.

What should your club do now? Review your rosters and player birth dates, and make sure your coaches and team managers are aware of the change as you prepare for the 2026–2027 season.

On a Futsal court, defenders are close and opportunities disappear quickly.

That means being confident with the ball at your feet — receiving it, protecting it and moving with purpose, even when the pressure is on.

Because when space is limited and time is short, every touch matters.

Receive the ball. Read the game. See the opportunity. Create the solution.

Futsal puts players in tight spaces with very little time to decide what comes next.

There isn’t always an obvious pass, or open lane, time to think twice. So players learn to improvise, to try something different, to see possibilities others might miss.

That’s creativity.

And every time players step onto the court, they have another opportunity to develop it.

The ball arrives. What are you going to do?

In Futsal, players don’t get much time to answer that question.

The pace of the game constantly asks them to scan the court, anticipate what’s coming, make a decision.

Pass.
Move.
Defend.
Create.
Adjust.
Again and again.

Over time, players aren’t just playing faster. They’re processing the game faster – reading space, anticipating pressure, recognizing options and making decisions in an instant. That ability to read and react to the game is one of Futsal’s greatest developmental advantages.

Last line of defense. First line of attack. 🧤⚽
Being a Futsal goalkeeper takes more than quick reflexes.

The game moves fast. Shots come from close range. Decisions happen in an instant. And once the ball is in your hands (or at your feet) you’re already thinking about what happens next.

Step up. Make the save. Get back up. Start the attack.
It takes courage, confidence and a willingness to go all in.

And sometimes, it takes getting very, very familiar with the floor.

Futsal is a team sport in every sense of the word. With five players a side, there’s nowhere to disappear.

Everyone attacks. Everyone defends. Everyone matters.

Players learn to communicate, trust their teammates and understand how their individual decisions impact the group. Then somewhere along the way, something bigger happens: A team becomes a place to belong, to compete.

That connection. That trust. That feeling of being part of something bigger. It’s all part of what makes Futsal special. 💪
