Join ACCE Riders for Transit Justice and youth and families from all over Alameda County to demand a FREE Youth bus Pass from the Alameda County Transportation Commission on Thursday, July 30th at 3pm at MetWest High School 314 E10th St.

Big ups to Willie, a leader from Urban Peace Movement who got the most 'yeses' at our phonebank today! With leaders like these, our campaign for a FREE Youth Bus Pass will meet with success.

A coalition of Oakland community organizations won a big victory in their decade-long battle for free bus passes for youth, when Alameda County voters last November approved Measure BB, which includes funds for an “Affordable Student Transit Pass Program.” But they didn’t stop there. Without missing a beat, Genesis, Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE), and the Urban Peace Movement immediately started pushing to make sure the program meets the needs of low-income youth."
