Slowing down isn't weak leadership. It might be the most equitable thing you do.
Here's what Roxanne Kymaani and Woo Williams-Zou from NEP reflect on from our Coaching & Managing for Equity Institute:

Leaders are stepping away from just fixing problems and starting to lead with curiosity instead of urgency. They're realizing that jumping to solutions can actually shut people down. But when leaders pause, ask better questions, and really listen, they create the conditions for belonging, where people feel seen, trusted, and part of shaping what comes next.

What leaders want next? Less theory, more practice. Real scenarios. Language for hard conversations.

At NEP, we're listening. And we're learning right alongside you.

Dear community,

The National Equity Project is closing this page due to our limited internal capacity to appropriately monitor and moderate the page.

Over the past few months, we have seen a dramatic uptick in trolling behaviors and harmful comments that violate Facebook’s terms around hate speech, bullying, misinformation, and harassment. Our small communications team has struggled to stay on top of managing this trolling activity but it has taken a toll.

This reactive work has diminished our ability to proactively post content and engage community members in constructive dialogue. By closing the page, we aim to redirect energies towards channels that better support our goals. We know that many of you may have found value in our presence here, and we deeply appreciate your support over the years. Our primary goal is to continue providing resources, insights, and opportunities that empower leaders to drive positive change in their communities. We are committed to fostering a space where equity, justice, and belonging flourish.

As of January 16, 2024 we are no longer active on this platform. The best way to connect with us and our resources is to subscribe to our newsletter (link in bio) and also follow us on here or LinkedIn.
