The exhibit, opening reception, and related forums will give youth and educators following in Dr. Foster’s footsteps the opportunity to share their tested ideas to improve schools. Sharif El-Mekki is the founder and CEO of the Center for Black Educator Development, an activist nonprofit organization that espouses recruiting and training teachers to be social justice advocates who use the classroom and lesson plans to advance change.
