AceMakerspace (formerly Ace Monster Toys) is located in SF Bay Area in North Oakland. Our space is open to members and their guests and classes are open to the public. If you would just like to see the space or exchange greetings from another maker/hackerspace, someone can show you around with some advance notice. The organization is run by our officers appointed by our an elected board. We are a

California Non-Profit Corporation as of September 23rd, 2010. Our IRS 501(c)(3) paperwork is available on our wiki. We have regular meetings that are open to anyone who wishes to visit. If you want to visit the Ace space at other times, contact a member to arrange a visit. For member access, we have token-based system for access control. East Bay Open Studios is back for two weekends this December with over 180+ artists opening their studios to the public. This free, self-guided event invites you to visit artist studios, pop-ups, and galleries in Oakland, Berkeley, and beyond. Our Winter event is the perfect time to holiday shop for unique, hand-made gifts while supporting local artists and makers. See paintings, prints, ceramics, sculptures and more!

Our Mending Lab was on fire this week 🔥 with some seriously cool projects! From bold, visible mending to subtle, barely-there repairs, we’re helping people bring new life to their favorite pieces—while keeping things sustainable. ♻️💚 Check out the galaxy shirt 🌌 … can you spot the hidden mending work?

"I started this shawl on October 18, 2020 and Completed it in April of 2021. I was excited to make this pattern because I couldn’t tell from the photos how it was constructed. There are multiple cast-ons hidden in the interior of the shawl. I put a lot of thought into the colors incorporated into this yarn and am most proud of the subtle pink mottling that is shared by the red yarn and the light gray yarn." ~Pixie's Fiber Fabrications
