Alcoholism & Breast Cancer! Let’s Talk About It.
We don’t talk enough about how the things we normalize can quietly harm us.
Alcoholism doesn’t just affect the liver. It affects families. It affects mental health. And yes! it increases the risk of breast cancer.
As someone who lost my mother to breast cancer at 46, this conversation is personal for me. 💗
No #1
Alcohol is classified as a Group 1 carcinogen. Even moderate drinking can raise the risk of breast cancer because alcohol increases estrogen levels and damages DNA. Many women don’t know that.
This is not about judgment.
This is about awareness.
This is about prevention.
This is about loving ourselves enough to make informed choices.
If you are struggling with alcohol, please know:
You are not weak.
You are not alone.
You are worthy of support and healing.
If you are fighting breast cancer:
You are powerful.
You are seen.
You are not defined by a diagnosis.
Let’s choose health.
Let’s choose healing.
Let’s choose life.
In honor of my mother Sharon Randolph and every woman battling or surviving breast cancer , we keep pushing awareness forward. 🎀
