SAVE THE DATE!

We are so excited to once again be celebrating Bay Area Dance Week with our FREE Day of Dance on Sunday, April 26th! This year we are doing things a little differently. We will be hosting a couple of online-only classes on Zoom in the morning (10am-12:30pm PDT) and then we will move to The Beat for a few in-person classes with a Zoom option (2-5pm PDT).Registration link in comments

N95/KN95/KF94 masks will be required for all in-person participants and teachers at all times.

We had so much fun line dancing with everyone in the room and on the Zoom last Saturday! We loved dancing and being in community with you all, whether you were brand-new to Big Moves/emFATic DANCE or you had danced with us before. We are so looking forward to doing it again this Saturday at 12:30pm PDT. Come on out and join in the fun! The more the merrier!

Thank you to everyone who came out to Day of Dance back in May either in the room or on Zoom. We had a great time moving and being in community with you all and we've really been missing seeing your faces and sharing space with you.

We're thrilled to announce that we have a month-long line dance class series coming your way on Saturdays in August. Line dance is a really fun way to get more comfortable with small bits of choreography and dancing with other people. We'll get you confident with beginning and intermediate line dance steps and vocabulary in a friendly, fat positive environment. This class will be offered in-person at The Beat in Berkeley and live on Zoom.

Big Moves presents a month-long series of line dance basics that'll have you sliding and coaster stepping with the best of them. This class includes classic and modern line dances from a variety of styles. No previous dance experience required! Each week we will be introducing 1-3 new dances, depending on difficulty level. We will continue working on dances week over week with additional review each class session. Feel free to drop-in to one or more classes, or take all five!

Join Big Moves in the studio & on Zoom in celebrating all bodies with an afternoon of beginner-friendly classes with the most joyful & body-positive instructors on the block. We're serving up Belly Dance, Soul Line Dance, Jazz Dance, Burlesque and more with instructors Tammy Johnson, TaMeicka "Ifasina" Clear, Jessica Judd, Michele Germany, Matilda St. John, and Juicy D. Light!
