City leaders play an essential role in shaping how housing takes root in our communities.

At Building Alignment: Policy, Practice, and People, municipal officials will join builders and developers for an evening of dialogue, learning, and relationship-building hosted by Build It Greenโ€™s Small Development Incubator.

On October 1 at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, the event will feature a panel with city leaders, interactive happy hour discussions with planners and policymakers.

You can register for the event here: https://luma.com/xnugvm91

This is an opportunity to share perspectives, hear directly from small-scale builders, and strengthen the collaboration that helps housing projects succeed.
This session, in partnership with StopWaste.Org, is part of the Small Development Incubator, a growing network of small-scale developers working to advance right-sized, regenerative housing across East Bay and the whole Bay Area.

What does it take to create the kind of housing that strengthens communities, grows small businesses, and supports climate-friendly neighborhoods?
It takes collaboration. Builders, developers, planners, code officials, and municipal leaders all play a part.

On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Build It Green will host this gathering at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, in partnership with StopWaste, as part of our Small Development Incubator series.
You can register for the event here: https://luma.com/xnugvm91

The evening will begin with a panel of city leaders who will share how policies and codes shape housing at the local level. From there, participants will move into interactive dialogues where they can connect directly with municipal staff and decision-makers. These informal dialogues will take place in a relaxed friendly setting over happy hour.

This is an invitation to connect with peers, expand your understanding, and be part of an ongoing community of practice around small-scale housing.
This session is part of the Small Development Incubator, a growing network of over 300 small-scale developers working to advance right-sized, regenerative housing across the East Bay and the whole region.
