Bone Marrow Donor Drive
Our Community, Our Cure announces that our Bone Marrow Donor Drive has been postponed and is now scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026.
The event will remain at the same location:
Mosswood Park
3612 Webster Street
Oakland, California
Although the date has changed, our mission remains the same: to increase awareness, education, and bone marrow donor registration within the African American community.
September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, and we are excited to expand this event by collaborating with sickle cell organizations, healthcare professionals, patients, survivors, families, and community advocates.
Together, we will raise awareness about:
✨Bone marrow and stem cell donation
✨The urgent need for more Black and
African American donors
✨Sickle cell disease and its impact on
individuals and families
✨Patient resources, education,
treatment, and community support
✨The importance of registering as a
potential donor
