“Together, we demonstrated the power of collaboration, leadership, and service. The impact of this event extended far beyond the venue—it resonated throughout the City of Oakland and reinforced NCBW's commitment to advancing economic empowerment, supporting Black women in business, and fostering opportunities for entrepreneurs to thrive.”

Greetings,
On behalf of the NCBW Oakland Bay Area Chapter, Public Policy Committee we are reaching out to share our position on Fair and Equitable Redistricting - one of our 25/27 National Resolutions. See that resolution attached for your reference.

Per our Resolution, “The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. shall advocate for fair, transparent, and equitable redistricting that ensures all communities have an equal voice in the democratic process; and will generally support bipartisan and independent redistricting commissions, increased public participation, and enforcement of federal and state protections against racial gerrymandering.”

To support this advocacy and message, we present the following Position Paper to you and encourage you to educate yourself and share this message with your local, state and Federal elected officials encouraging them to support fair and equitable redistricting.

In service,
Dr. Tracey Edwards Jenkins

This conversation may be uncomfortable, but it’s necessary.
Black women are disproportionately exposed to harmful ingredients in many beauty and personal care products. That’s not just a beauty issue—it’s a public health issue.

We deserve safer products, stronger protections, and greater accountability.
