Our federal government will no longer enforce core civil rights, consumer rights, and environmental protection laws. That means a military family targeted by predatory lenders, an immigrant seeking refuge in America, a person of color subject to voter suppression, a woman seeking access to health care, a student harassed by debt collectors, a child drinking toxic water, and a teenager abused by po

lice officers cannot count on the federal government to protect their legal rights. When our federal government becomes hostile to the rule of law, states and cities bear the enormous responsibility of defending their residents' rights. Public Rights Project gives state and local public entities the talent, resources, and support they need to protect our rights.
