As the only Cambodian American women-giving circle in the United States, we have given over $100,000 to support organizations impacting Cambodian women and girls over the last 15 years.

This year, the Devata Giving Circle Executive Council Members considered our mission and this year’s theme of “Anti-Deportation and Community Advocacy” when selecting our grant award recipients.

We congratulate the following organizations for receiving an unrestricted grant of $3,500 each:

Asian Prisoner Support Committee
Khmer Anti-Deportation Advocacy Group
Southeast Asian Freedom Network - SEAFN
Center for Empowering Refugees and Immigrants - CERI
The Cambodian Family
Cambodian Association of Illinois

Thank you so so much for showing your support in making our first in-person International Women’s Day event in over five (5) years such a huge success. With your generosity, we have met our goal of raising $20,000 through the event. We apologize for the delay in getting the news to you; we wanted to make sure we counted every last penny, including matching grants, which can take a bit of time.

Thank you again to the sponsors, the fabulous gifts donated by the owners of Asian-owned businesses, the folks at District, and our dedicated volunteers. And our community -- for showing up and coming out to join us in honoring our four brilliant Artists and Activists with the 2025 Courage & Leadership Award:

100% of the funds raised go back into our community! Our community, much like other communities of color, are being impacted by the current administration's severe funding cuts. We're hosting our 2025 IWD event in one day -- tomorrow! To celebrate, we're highlighting baskets featuring "Choul Mouy” libations from Asian-owned businesses.

All liquor for the raffle baskets were curated by a long time friend and supporter of Devata Giving Circle (DGC). You can catch up on cocktails, bars and bottles he recommends by following his Instagram blog . “First” has been sampling and sharing spirits he likes for a little over 5 years now.

Enjoy and check him out on IG. Remember if you find him at a bar, the First Round is on him….
