The next is approaching fast, so let’s remember what we achieved together last year.

💙💛 Mission accomplished
In 2024, together with the and amazing partners, we stepped up when Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy grid left millions without power, hitting children in frontline communities the hardest. With no stable electricity, families often had no choice but to rely on parents’ smartphones for Zoom lessons.
To help, we at joined the initiative launched by , the campaign 🎒— and thanks to our community, we achieved our goal. We raised enough to deliver 1,000 filled with essentials: a battery-powered lamp, power bank, books, stationery, and some sweet treats. These backpacks reached children in the Chernihiv region, with more delivered to Mykolaiv soon after, ensuring kids continued to learn despite blackouts. Because education can’t wait. Because kids deserve more than survival — they deserve a future.

✨ Thank you for being an essential part of this success story. Let’s keep going. Check our previous post about our current campaign to raise money to transform the basement of the school in Novovorontsovka, Kherson region, into a fortified underground learning space.

This season, we’re turning our focus to Novovorontsovka – a resilient frontline town in Ukraine’s Kherson region🇺🇦

After enduring relentless attacks, families are beginning to return home. But for the children, the path back to normal life is still blocked. Their only school remains exposed — without a secure bomb shelter, in-person education is impossible.

That’s why we’re launching our next mission: to transform the basement of this school into a fortified underground learning space. Once rebuilt, it will offer safety, stability, and hope to 489 students and 72 teachers who’ve waited too long to return to the classroom.
Since 2021, our nonprofit has proudly partnered with the & , rallying communities across California to help rebuild schools in
Ukraine destroyed or damaged by Russia’s war against Ukraine. Together, we’ve turned miles into classrooms — and we’re not stopping now. Because education can’t wait. Because kids deserve more than survival — they deserve a future.

🧱 Let’s build it. Together.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our campaign back in July🇺🇦🇺🇸
We were able to contribute to buying 1000 black out backpacks for kids in (mainly from Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv regions) that will be very helpful for them during the electricity blackouts caused by constant russian missile attacks on Ukrainian power grids.

🌟 Help Us Light Up a Child’s Future! 🌟

Ukraine is struggling to cope with a new wave of rolling blackouts after relentless russian attacks took out half the country’s power generation capacity. This back-to-school season 🎒 we’re rallying together to support the resilient kids in Ukraine who are facing the harsh reality of electricity blackouts due to ongoing rocket strikes

For 2nd year in a row, we’re partnering with and direct action non-profit in Ukraine to help Ukrainian children in need.

📚 Our Goal is to help to provide 1000 backpacks filled with essential school supplies, flashlights, and portable chargers so that these children can continue their education despite the challenges. The main focus of this effort is on Chernihiv (one of the communities there lives just 10 miles away from russian border) and Mykolaiv regions.

🇺🇦 Why It Matters: These backpacks are more than just school supplies—they’re a beacon of hope and stability in uncertain times. With your support, we can make a tangible difference in their lives.

💡 How You Can Help:
1. Donate: Every contribution counts, no matter the size (the link in our bio; check out also the results of our previous fundraisers)
2. Spread the Word: Share this post and tag your friends to amplify our reach. If you’re running this Sunday, come by and say hi. Ask us any questions about current or previous fundraisers.
3. Get Involved: DM us to find out how you can volunteer or organize local fundraising events.
Let’s come together to ensure these kids have the tools they need to succeed and shine bright, even in the darkest times. 🌟💛

🙏 Thank you for your support! 🙏

After enormously tough days like Monday, when russians hit the biggest children's hospital in Ukraine, it's easy to feel that all effort is pointless. However, Ukrainians are incredibly resilient. After experiencing a setback, we regroup, organize, and continue to fight, donate, and rebuild.

This is why today, we would like to share some more restoration updates. These were made possible by donations and spreading the word, which has been incredibly valuable and truly appreciated. The very special thanks go to our amazing partners at The San Francisco Marathon 🌁 & The Berkeley Half Marathon 💚, who have supported us for 2 years now , and our direct action partners in Ukraine at SavED💛💙

Your generosity has been a source of hope during these challenging times. Thanks to all of you, we were able to support the complete renovation of this sports ground in , Kyiv region. It might seem small, but we decided to support this project because the school students themselves proposed it as an essential community-building place where kids of all ages can reconnect in person again and have a sense of some normalcy in times of war. Overall, 1698 kids ages 6-17 can use this sports ground daily, which proves once again that a little help goes a very long way.

Thank you once again for showing solidarity and making a meaningful difference!

🎉 Happy 4th of July! Thank You for Supporting Ukraine's Future! 🇺🇸

Dear friends & supporters, as we continue the celebration and reflection and commemorate the values of independence and freedom, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has contributed to our fundraising efforts for rebuilding schools in Ukraine that were tragically affected by unprovoked russian aggression. Your support, whether through donations or spreading the word, has been invaluable and deeply appreciated. Exceptional thanks go to our amazing partners at The San Francisco Marathon 🌁 & The Berkeley Half Marathon 💚, who have supported us for 2 years now 🏃‍♀️🏃!

Your generosity has been a beacon of hope during these challenging times. Thanks to your support, we directly aided the reconstruction of vital educational facilities for the future of Ukrainian children. Here, you can see the "before" and "after" in a new school in Chervona Dolyna, Mykolaiv region. The only school in this village was destroyed by a direct hit from russian missile, "Iskander". The community center nearby withstand the missile attack, so it was refurbished into a temporary school. Plus, across the street, we repaired the shelter, which survives as a bomb shelter for kids so they can go to school in person. In addition, our partners from SavED also rebuilt the playground in front of the school 🏓 , and now more than 150 children will be able to return to school on September 1 📚👩‍🏫🙇‍♀️

Your generous contributions remind us of the power of unity and compassion across borders. Together, we are not just rebuilding buildings; we are rebuilding dreams and opportunities for a brighter tomorrow. We have made significant progress, and we are excited about the future. We will continue to update you on the progress of our ongoing efforts and the impact of your donations. Your support is a testament to the strength of humanity in times of adversity, and it gives us hope for a better future.

Thank you once again for showing solidarity and making a meaningful difference❤️

🕯️Today marks the 38th anniversary of the world’s largest man-made disaster that occurred at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.

For decades, it has been a scar and a reminder of the fragility of the world’s nuclear security. On February 24, 2022, Russia shattered this fragility to pieces by occupying the Chornobyl NPP for 35 days. For two years, Russia has been holding hostage the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the largest in Europe.

We’ve got to talk to (researcher, writer, and ambassador of scientific knowledge Chornobyl and radiation) about the Chornobyl tragedy and nuclear safety in general. Read what she thinks is essential to remember about the past and current threats to nuclear safety. Because the world’s nuclear safety is once again hanging by a thread, and the world is threatened with a new Chornobyl. Don’t let it happen! Help Ukraine stop Russian terror!
