A glimpse of our recently concluded event, The Walk to Resilience Dance Party, a community journey held at the Edoff Memorial Bandstand at Lake Merritt in Oakland, California.

It was a fun and energetic experience for our clients, staff, families, and friends. The event featured plenty of dancing, exciting activities, and opportunities for the community to come together, celebrate, and build resilience.

One More Day before our Event!!!!!

If you're coming from Oakland or nearby Bay Area locations, the Edoff Memorial Bandstand is located in Lakeside Park, Lake Merritt, near 699 Bellevue Ave, Oakland, CA. It sits just past Children's Fairyland and across from the lawn bowling courts.

Driving Directions
From Downtown Oakland
1. Head toward Grand Ave / Lake Merritt.
2. Turn onto Bellevue Ave along the west side of Lake Merritt.
3. Enter Lakeside Park and continue past Children's Fairyland.
4. The Edoff Memorial Bandstand will be on your right.

Public Transit
• BART: Exit at 19th Street Oakland Station, then walk about 1 mile to the bandstand.
• AC Transit: Routes 12 and NL stop near Grand Ave & Bellevue Ave.

Parking Fees
Parking inside Lakeside Park on Bellevue Avenue is currently listed as:
• $3 every 2 hours
• $12 all-day parking (weekdays)
• $5 all-day parking on weekends and holidays
• $15 for buses

Free Parking
Free street parking is often available on:
• Grand Avenue
• Nearby residential side streets around Lake Merritt (subject to posted restrictions).

Tip: On weekends, Bellevue Ave parking fills up quickly, especially near Children's Fairyland and the Gardens at Lake Merritt, so arriving early is recommended.

CLAUSEN HOUSE PICNIC 2026 – A Day of Fun, Food, and Community! 🌞🎉

On June 19th, the Clausen House community gathered in North Temescal for a wonderful picnic filled with laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the staff, families, and clients who joined us and helped make the day such a tremendous success.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious selection of food, exciting activities, and plenty of opportunities to connect with one another. It was especially heartwarming to see our clients dancing, socializing, and mingling with friends old and new throughout the day. The positive energy, smiles, and sense of community truly made this event special for everyone involved.

Thank you again to our dedicated staff for their hard work, to the families for their support, and to our clients for bringing such joy and enthusiasm to the celebration. Your participation is what makes events like these so meaningful.
