We’re back with Office Hours, and this time, we’re diving deep into the nitty-gritty of your rights as creators!

Join us for an enlightening session with BTA’s resident lawyer, Kristina Liburd, as we tackle pressing questions like: Who can repost our content? Do they need permission? Are we allowed to use voiceovers over music? And what about using others’ videos for educational purposes?

Get the answers you need to ensure you’re always covered and informed. Kristina will address specific queries you may have, so come prepared!

BTA WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!

The Black Travel Alliance DOES NOT condone bullying! And when we got hold of this thread and overall conversation OUR HEART BROKE!

As influencers and creators we have the ability to use our influence for good and bad. The fact that this traveler had to unfollow one of the most prominent Black travel communities because others treated her unfairly let’s us know WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

Further more the comments that followed after her initial statement show other issues we face. This thread sparked conversations everywhere and we want to know how you feel! That’s right! BTS has founded a national holiday, for us and by us. ✊🏿✊🏼✊🏾✊🏽

What is National Black Travel Day?
This is a day for Black travelers and travel professionals to celebrate diversity, our impact, future and culture in travel. It is an homage to the Black travel movement; a reminder for our allies, our supporters, but also for ourselves that diversity in travel isn’t a trend that ends, it’s necessary for a brighter future for all who travel.

How can you celebrate?
This day is the day to show your unwavering commitment to DE&I. Whether it be through supporting a Black travel professional/organization, or highlighting the actions your company has taken towards workplace diversity.
