🐞 Strong mentorship changes the trajectory of a nursing career.

HealthImpact Mentors is an evidence-based mentorship program supporting nurses as they grow professionally within your organization. Whether an Individual 1:1 match or a Group cohort of 3-4 mentees learning together under one experienced mentor fits your team better, we've got a model that scales with you.

Every match is grounded in evidence-based matching that supports successful, high-quality relationships. From there, participants get structured goal-setting and progress tracking over a 6-12 month mentoring relationship (meeting twice a month for the first 3 months, then monthly).

Mentors show up to guide, support, and share their expertise — and we make sure to recognize them for it with dedicated professional development support. The result? Stronger clinical competency, higher retention, and a real support network for the nursing workforce.

Big proud moment for HealthImpact! 🌟 Our very own Owen Metzger and Kamar Castillo took the stage at the National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers to present "Organizational Optimization of Social Media Presence for Nursing Professional Development Tracks."

Their session dove into how a nursing-focused social media strategy has helped amplify awareness and exposure for nursing professional development programs, connecting more nurses and educators to the resources shaping their careers. Watching them share the strategy and heart behind our social media work — the same work that connects our community every day — on a national platform was something truly special. Thank you, Owen and Kamar, for representing HealthImpact so beautifully and for showing what's possible when passion meets purpose. A huge thank you as well to Eddie Burns for submitting the abstract that made this opportunity possible in the first place! 🩺💙

On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved people in Texas learned of their freedom — a moment long overdue, and one whose meaning continues to resonate today. Juneteenth is a celebration of resilience, a call to reflection, and a reminder that the work of justice is ongoing.

At HealthImpact, we honor this day and the communities whose strength and perseverance have always moved history forward.

June is Men's Health Month — a time to prioritize the health and well-being of the men in our lives. 💙

Men and male-identifying individuals are 50% less likely than women to seek medical care, despite facing significantly higher mortality rates. And yet, men are an essential part of the healthcare workforce delivering that care — today, men represent approximately 12% of the nursing profession.

This June, let's encourage the men in our lives to prioritize their own health — schedule that check-up, speak up about what they're feeling, and know that asking for help is never a sign of weakness.

Caring for others starts with caring for yourself. 💪
