We’re excited to welcome Taiwanese-American, Bay Area-raised artist niko rain to our Night Market lineup.

Niko Rain is a multifaceted artist who blends dreamy synth textures and intimate vocals to create a soundscape unique to him and his art.

A big part of our Night Market programming is highlighting Bay Area talent of Asian descent. Artists from a range of backgrounds and sounds that reflect the melting pot of our Oakland Chinatown.

Meet Greg Hong, the young buck who, alongside his cousins and other family members, runs the Chinatown OG sandwich shop, Ba-Le French Coffee Shop.

Greg’s mother and her two sisters originally immigrated to Oakland from Vietnam, bringing authentic Vietnamese cuisine to the Town.
On September 12th, they’ll be staying open late to join us for the Night Market and serve their signature bánh mì as part of our ongoing “Taste of Chinatown” series — a campaign highlighting some of the best plates from Oakland Chinatown’s legacy restaurants.
