We also amplify voices that are often marginalized, ensuring that individuals and families have the agency to speak for themselves and advocate for their rights and needs.

✨Celebrating the magic of young Black women showing up for themselves week after week with dedication and determination to complete our Sewn Together Cohort 3 class. 🪄

Throughout the 4-week course, these incredible women acquired fundamental sewing skills, discovered the art of repurposing materials, learned about the importance of sustainability in fashion, and explored the environmental impact of the fashion industry. All while developing a strong sisterhood bond!

Today they received their certificates, donated sewing machines, and a book for projects to keep them inspired! I can’t wait to see what these future designers bring to the fashion world! 🌎 🪡🧵

🎉✨ First class of Sewn Together is in the books! Our amazing youth learned how to use the sewing machine and practiced basic stitching. 🧵💪🏾 It’s so inspiring to see their enthusiasm for learning new skills when they have the opportunity to! Can’t wait to see all the creative projects they’ll make! 🌟
