C*C Alumni spotted in action 🗣️🗣️

At the Prioritizing Foster Youth in Housing Action Summit, hosted by the LA Community College District, former C*C Members from the LA region spoke!

Kevin Clark, former LA Chapter Member spoke on the data and called out the gap in available supportive housing that leaves over 4,000 former foster youth in LA County struggling to find housing stability as they pursue education and employment.

Candi Marsh, former Long Beach Chapter Member spoke on a panel calling out the need to support foster youth students to address barriers to access the LACCD housing.

It’s great to see these former members continue to advocate and educate their communities on how to best support young people. ❤️

In observance of Juneteenth, California Youth Connection will be closed today 6/19/26. We encourage our community to learn more about the significance of this day, support Black communities, and celebrate the rich history and culture that continue to shape our country.

Happy Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 A message to LGBTQ2S+ youth in care from our Executive Director Carolyn (she/her/ella). It is estimated that 30-34% of youth in foster care identify as LGBTQ+.

LGBTQ+ youth can face differences in experiences in care or treatment by the system. Everyone can do our part to improve experiences of LGBTQ+ youth in the system ❤

We need your help, especially if you’re in Sacramento‼️ Sacramento County is planning major budget cuts and eliminating funding to foster youth programs.

If you can, show up to the Board of Supervisors Meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 9:30 AM. Make sure you arrive early to get a seat and fill out a speaker card. Show up and speak out!!
