Young people across the nation possess unique strengths and tremendous potential, yet many face systemic inequities that can limit their potential. Summer Search is working to ensure that our students achieve their potential through a combination of mentoring and transformative experiences. Summer Search integrates year-round, holistic professional mentorship, summer experiential learning opportun

ities, individualized college and financial aid counseling, and a consistent network of support through their high school and post-secondary years. Through the combination of these program components, students expand their view of what is possible for themselves and achieve their own definition of professional and personal success.

For Seattle class of 2017 alum Karishama, Summer Search was about more than summer trips: it was discovering her strengths, building lifelong friendships, and finding mentors who truly understood who she was and what she needed.

From biking the San Juan Islands to traveling to Nicaragua, Karishama’s summer experience trips helped her find confidence and a deeper belief in herself. Today, she’s still connected to the mentors and peers who helped shape her path!
