While there will be no 2016 edition of the Oakland Underground Film Festival, we are actively committed to enriching Bay Area film culture, and supporting our film family.

This month, we are letting you know about upcoming screenings of fabulous films from Frameline. Check out Ovarian Psycos, about an East LA Bicycle Brigade that organizes rides in protest of violence in the community and against women. The film screens 6/20 in Berkeley at the Elmwood and 6/25 at the Roxie in SF!

The Humanist Hall has been in Oakland since 1935, and has been home to The Oakland Underground Film Festival for the past three years. It is an amazing, affordable venue for arts gatherings of any stripe, and has been for 80 years.

If you ever joined us for a great film and a beer, or a little backyard BBQ at the Humanist Hall, please sign this petition to keep Oakland Oakland. (more info in the comments section)

Who likes free films?! OakUFF is co-presenting some great documentaries with Frameline39: The San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival and have a few free tickets for our kickass fans!

To get tickets to The Royal Road or The Yes Men Are Revolting (more info below!), just leave a comment below about your favorite Oakland landmark! First two folks to respond get two tickets to either film's screening in SF 6/19, or in the East Bay on 6/22!
