Interesting discussion of Prop 39. Clean Water Action is bi-partisan but we do see this proposition as a hinderance to voting rights, since all registered voters will have proved their eligibility to the state when they registered and investigations into voter fraud have demonstrated that claims that its a problem are just rhetoric and not based on truth. Why are billionaires so interested in this then?

Packaging magnate and Illinois businessman Richard Uhilein and venture capitalists Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss are among the big spenders bankrolling California’s voter ID measure.

Opposition to Prop 45 crosses party lines. Five Republican county organizations join the California Democratic Party in saying NO to a costly measure that weakens local control and public oversight.

This is why we work on preventing pollution at the source. Once toxic chemicals get into water, it falls on ratepayers to ante up for treatment, not those that put them there while profiting from their products and industrial processes.

A water rate analysis by the consumer advocacy group Food and Water Watch estimates that water bills in the U.S. have risen 62% between 2015 and 2025.

Clean Water Action stands with our tribal communities. While we can't all feel the very personal sorrow and betrayal that tribes must feel because of Governor Gavin Newsom's vetoes, we morn this extension of injustice.

The governor’s historic apology was undercut by his veto of two bills that would have given tribes more say over land and water issues, critics say.

Randy Villegas will fight against climate change that threatens California's agriculture and farmworkers. His opponent is tied to the dairy industry, but not fighting to address these issues. Clearly we need Randy in Washington, representing District 22. Learn more about our endorsements at https://cleanwater.org/be-clean-water-voter-2026-california-endorsements
