While our newly planted grass continues to slowly grow, we couldn’t wait to put our new lawn mower to work! 🌱
Everyone had a chance to give it a try, and a few of our older boys especially enjoyed taking turns mowing! The transformation of some of our tall, overgrown grassy areas was incredible. What was once covered in weeds is now a beautiful open space for our kids to run and play!
We dream of one day having our entire property covered in grass instead of dirt, but we know it will take time, patience, and a lot of work.
We’ve already learned so much from planting our first small section. Timing is everything! We need rain to help the grass grow, but not the torrential downpours that wash our seeds away. Preparing the ground is another challenge, especially when there seem to be more rocks than dirt around here!
It’s a work in progress, and we’re learning as we go. But little by little, we’re making improvements to our property and creating a greener, more beautiful place for our kids to call home! 🏡
