HERE ARE THE 3 HERO OFFICERS WE LOST

Detective Sgt. Cody Becker, Detective Mark Baker and Detective Isaiah Emenheiser, of the Northern York County Regional police force, were killed the moment they opened the front door to the house of his stalking victim, which was empty except for the co**se of the family dog the suspect had killed inside.

The backstory:
The shootout happened on Wednesday afternoon, as officers were attempting to serve a search warrant. The day before, officers responded to that same home for reports that a man was lurking outside.

A woman told officers that they saw her ex-boyfriend on a trail camera outside their house. In the footage, officers saw that the man was armed with a rifle. They searched the area for hours but couldn't find the suspect.

Officers got a warrant for the suspect charging him with stalking and loitering and prowling.

When police went to suspect’s home on Wednesday, he wasn't there. They returned to the ex-girlfriend's home to continue the search, where the suspect ambushed detectives.

Two other officers, including another Northern York County Regional detective, and a York County deputy sheriff, were critically injured.

A great night was had by all this evening at the Hero’s United charity event held at Bar Anticipation. Several of our members were recognized for their response to a structure fire which resulted in the rescue of a child from a burning apartment in October of 2024. Recognized members included, Sgt. Raheem Carter, Ptl. Christopher Stenger, and Ptl. Joe Larkins.
