Four Winds Tribe Louisiana Cherokee Confederation rolls opened today. If you’re interested in an application, please call the Tribal Office at 318-215-8055 to have an application mailed to you or stop by the office to pick one up.
Some things to know:
➡️. Applicants must be descendants of Native Americans residing in the area known as No Man’s Land
➡️. Applications must be complete and submitted with ALL requested documents, information, verifications, and application fee.
➡️. Completed applications will be worked in the order they are received.
➡️. A completed application must be submitted for each person/child.
➡️. Only PARENTS or LEGAL GUARDIANS may complete applications for minor children.
➡️. Applicants ages 18 years and older must complete their own applications. No one can make application for you.
➡️. We do not complete your genealogy pedigrees. Resources to help you complete your pedigrees are provided in the application packet.
➡️. We do not accept walk-in applications.
➡️. Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant for completion.
➡️. We are a State of Louisiana recognized tribe. We are not federally recognized but that is a long term goal.
Our goal is to be able to provide much needed services and support such as healthcare, educational scholarships, veterans’ services, elderly care and support, etc to our Tribal community.
We operate as a 501 C 3 strictly from Tribal member donations, community donations, and fundraising.
