Find the little bits of joy wherever you can. The bubbles. The sunshine. A laugh you didn’t know you needed. 💛

You don’t have to pretend things aren’t hard to let a little light in. There’s room for both. We walk hard toward the light at the end of the tunnel, but we also pause to see the little lights poking through into the darkness.

To our families walking through dark days, we hope a little joy finds you today. And when the light feels hard to find, we sit beside you so you don’t have to face the dark alone. 🎗️

This sweet girl and her family. 😭💛

Hazel’s lemonade stand, in honor of September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, raised $2,600 for Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer, AND THEN her kind and generous grandfather donated another $2,000. That’s $4,600 from Hazel and friends to help local families facing childhood cancer!!

Her mama shared the total and said, “Hope this can help ❤️”

Cait, It helps SO MUCH. As moms who have walked this road with our own children, we know what it means to have people show up for your family. And every person who supports Mama Bears makes it possible for us to do that for someone else.

The sweetest part? Hazel already wants to help with more fundraising because she loves doing this. Again, Lemonade from life’s lemons 🥹

Hazel, Cait, Grandpa, and everyone who helped, donated, or stopped by for lemonade, THANK YOU. We are so grateful for your generosity and your hearts for our kids and families. 💛🍋🎗️

Carry your family, we’ll carry you. 🐻

Rubi turned lemons into lemonade, then turned her birthday wish into hope for other families. We could not be more proud or grateful🍋💛

Her lemonade stand raised $8,038 for Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer! Rubi and Georgie then helped deliver 14 wagons to families at Stanford, where Rubi received treatment. What a meaningful way for them to bring that love back. Equipping new families and paying it forward. They know, that we can’t do it without financial support from our community ❤️

And Georgie, we see you. Childhood cancer affects siblings, too. Thank you for sharing your light with families walking through something you know so personally.🥰

Thank you, Rubi, Georgie, Sally, Pedro, and everyone who gave or showed up. Special thanks to The Sharing Board California | Mobile Charcuterie & Dessert Bars and Debrito Chocolate Factory for donating $1,000 each in Rubi’s honor. 🎗️We love you guys!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month but for MBFCC families, awareness is not confined to one month.

Every year, more than 1,700 children and adolescents in California are diagnosed with cancer. Nearly five families every day suddenly enter a world of hospital rooms, treatment plans, terror, financial strain, disrupted childhoods, and an uncertainty that follows them far beyond the day of diagnosis.

When your child is diagnosed, that number suddenly feels enormous. And even when a particular childhood cancer carries a 95% survival rate, that still means that for every 100 children, five families may face an unimaginable loss.

And for the children who ring the bell, it certainly isn’t without life long scars. Many carry lasting physical and emotional effects from the very treatments that saved their lives.

So we celebrate every remission, every clear scan, and every child who finishes treatment, and we hold hope fiercely. But we do not exhale yet.

This September, let us step beyond awareness. More research is needed. Safer treatments are needed. Families need support through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and grief.

Because every number is someone’s child.
And when it is your child, even one is too many.

Carry your family. We’ll carry you. 🎗️

💛 Sugar Bee Treats GOES GOLD: WAGONS OF HOPE💛

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, and this one is incredibly close to our hearts.

A few years ago, our daughter Hailey was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at just 17 years old. Our world changed overnight. She went through 9 months of aggressive chemotherapy, surgery, countless hospital stays, scans, transfusions, and more than any teenager should ever have to endure.

During one of the hardest times of our lives, Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer showed up for our family.

They brought us one of their wagons filled with items to help us get through treatment. When your child is diagnosed with cancer, you're suddenly thrown into a world you never expected to be in. Having people show up and say, “We've been here. We see you. We're here to help,” means more than we can ever explain.

Thankfully, today Hailey is a cancer survivor!!!. 💛🎗️

We haven't forgotten the people who helped carry our family through those days, and now that we have Sugar Bee Treats, we have an opportunity to pay that kindness forward.

Throughout September, a portion of our Sugar Bee Treats sales will go toward helping Mama Bears provide another newly diagnosed pediatric cancer family with one of their incredible wagons.

🐝💛 AND WE'RE MATCHING YOUR DONATIONS! 💛🐝

Sugar Bee Treats will match community donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000!

Our goal is to come together as a community and be able to say:

💛 PLUMAS LAKE HELPED FUND THIS FAMILY'S WAGON.💛

Every $1 matters. Every ice cream, snow cone, lemonade, and donation helps us get closer.

This isn't just another fundraiser for our family.

We've been the family receiving the wagon.
Now we get to help give one. 🥹💛

Let's show another family what our amazing community can do when we come together.

September is here. 💛🎗️🐾

And if we’re being honest, we wish we didn’t need this month.

We wish gold ribbons weren’t part of our lives. We wish we didn’t know the words “your child has cancer.” We wish there weren’t families forever divided into life before cancer and life after.

But we do.

So September is incredibly important to us.

This month we’ll say their names. Tell their stories. Honor the children we’ve lost, celebrate the survivors and stand beside the kids still fighting.

And we’ll keep showing up. With wagons 🤗

We’re kicking off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with opportunities to come alongside these families, including our 3rd Annual KidsFest and our Lazy Dog fundraiser! 💛

Because our kids deserve more than awareness. They deserve better treatments, more funding and long, beautiful lives after cancer.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

We’re going GOLD. 💛🎗️

For every child. For every family. Always.

Carry your family. We’ll carry you.

This sweet boy is Arya. 💛

This week, his mom shared that he has been using his Mama Bears wagon like a portable bed while he’s been having a hard week.

That touched our hearts, because this is exactly why we do what we do. Our wagons are not just filled with essential hospital survival items. They are filled with comfort, care, and connection to support for both the child and the parent carrying so much through a cancer journey.

For Arya, the wagon became a place to rest.
For his mom, it held some of the practical comforts that lighten the load.

We are so honored to come alongside families like theirs. 🐻🎗️

Carry your family. We’ll carry you.
