CAGC's young professionals group recently went behind the scenes at the James R. Thompson Center!
Led by the project team from Clark Construction Group, our group got a look at how the redevelopment of Google’s new downtown headquarters is progressing.
Key highlights from the tour include:
✅Energy-Efficient Facade: Replacing thousands of sloped, single-pane panels with high-performance triple-pane glass, including bird-safe glass.
✅New Outdoor Spaces: Building six brand-new open-air terraces, including greenery.
✅Complex Logistics: Managing a tight, high-traffic site in the heart of the Loop and an in-depth glass demo that required keen attention to detail.
