This has been a great day. After receiving all those new photos today of Colton, I heard from the Roane State Foundation. They awarded Colton's scholarship to a young woman that works at Campbell County EMS where Colton worked! Congratulations to Deanna Campbell!

I want to publicly thank my sister in law, Lora Bebee, for her generous donation to Colton's Scholarship! Every year, she has made it possible for another student to proceed with their dream of becoming an EMT or paramedic. She ensures Colton's memory will carry on through his memorial scholarship and I am so grateful for that.

Personally, Lora has brought new life to our family and I'm so thankful she is a part of it!

It's time for a Scholarship Spotlight! We plan to start showcasing the many different scholarships that are available through the Roane State Foundation. Today we are spotlighting the Colton Stout Memorial Scholarship. Colton is pictured below. This scholarship was created to help selected students obtain their EMT Advanced Certification in memory of Colton Alexander Stout. Helping others was vitally important to Colton, and with this scholarship his commitment to help others is carried on each year. This past fall, Roane State EMT student, Alyssa Lewis was awarded Colton's scholarship. The application for 2021-22 will open in March. Keep a watch on the Foundation webpage for updated opening and closing dates.

Please join me in congratulating Regina Jenks, this year's recipient of the Colton Stout Memorial Scholarship. She is a dedicated student with a sincere calling to the First Responder field.

I want to thank each and every one of you that made this possible. It would not have been possible without your generous donations.

I'm awaiting confirmation of the amount and I'll update you as soon as I get that information from the Roane State Foundation.
