Elm Grove Alumni Community

The ORHS Class of 1970 is about to have our 55th high school reunion. Usually we also have an Elm Grove Alumni reunion on the same weekend. I don’t mean to ignore other classes, this just happens to be my class. So, I am preparing to send out messages about us having an Elm Grove Homecoming on the same weekend as my high school class is having a reunion. We’ve done this before. It seems to be a reasonable way to get friends together who don’t live nearby. The last time I held one of these was the last time my class has a reunion. That year I decided to invite others from my class to come to our park to see if other elementary school alumni would like to see what a terrific time we Grovers have at one of these.

So. please send comments about our coming party. Let me know if you plan on attending. The reunion is planned to be on the weekend of the Halls and Oak Ridge football game (which is on Thursday, August 21. Details are still being settled, but I‘m thinking that we might want to gather on the grounds of our school on Saturday afternoon.

Please send me your thoughts. I’ll keep the group posted as I learn more on plans, etc.

It’s been a long time since the elm grove alumni groups got together. I’m curious to se how many of us would be open to have another spring day at Elm Grove some time next spring.

The ORHS class of 1970 will be holding another reunion then. At our last reunion, we ppened up our homecoming to include people from other elementary schools. I set up separate areas with separate tables for each. The turnout wasn’t huge, but ptrtty good for the first one.

KTS talk about this idea and s how many would want to get together next spring or sometime sooner at someplace inside.
