East Tennessee Friends of Animals ETNFOA is an Adult and Senior CAT rescue in East TN. We are NOT an Animal Shelter. Sadly we cannot take animals from the public. Please help us make a difference!

We only take animals direct from shelters!!!! East Tennessee Friends of Animals is a group of caring dedicated volunteers who are working hard to rescue and place the animals that find their way into the public shelter system. The local animal shelters in East, Tennessee does not have the resources, financial backing, space or manpower, to house all the stray and surrendered animals on an indefinite basis. Therefore, the clock starts ticking for these animals at the moment that they are deemed ready for adoption. Our primary mission is spay/neuter working at ground zero. For many years our mission was rescue only. After pulling hundreds from local shelters each year to try and lower euthanasia, we never saw any changes in intake. Therefore, we changed our primary mission to spay/neuter for community cats and kittens and trap-neuter-return (TNR) of feral cat colonies in order to reduce the number of animals being born which might eventually find their way into the shelter system. ETNFOA will continue to work hard in rescue to insure that as many animals as possible are rescued through either direct adoption, or placement into the foster care system before the clock stops ticking and their time is up.

Welcome Coco and Travis to our Lenoir City Petsense location...

Coco is a ultra sweet dark calico. She likes attention, sofr pets, and snuggles. She would love a calm home, preferably without kittens. Coco is 6 years old and looks forward to many happy years with her next person. She likes the feel of plain cat litter and dislikes pellet litter.

Travis is a young tabby boy, roughly 8-9 months old. He's very sweet, playful, and surprisingly chill for his age. He went to the vet and took all hos shots and tests like a champ, purring at everyone. Overall he's one of the sweetest young boys we've had in a while.

Meet them anytime the Lenoir City Petsense is open. All cats come fully vetted. Applications can be filled out in store or email [email protected] for more information.

Visi is wondering when it will be his turn? This sweet gentle soul just wants a quiet home, and a person to love. He's calm for his young age of only 2 years, and you can tell he studies his surroundings intensely. He enjoys taller cat trees, comfy beds, and a little catnip from time to time. Visi is not an alpha cat and is easily bullied, so he'd be best in a home without dogs or dominant cats. Visi is FIV positive, and that is the least important thing about him. Visit him at the Lenoir City Petsense location or email [email protected] for more information.

Meet Skyler a k.a. Walter. This sweet boy is looking to be your one and only. He's an active, playful young man that needs a loving home who won't mind giving him a daily pill for allergies. He's fairly easy to pill, and it keeps him comfortable/ not itchy. He doesn't get along with other cats, but loves people. Email [email protected] for more information.

Good deeds Tuesday. Last week we lucked into winning an auction for a pallet of rubber chicken dog toys. This was personally paid for by us without rescue funds. We scored a 3k pallet for $80! This sets us up for the annual Petsense Trunk or Treat happening on Sunday October 25th! It also allowed us to gift 10 boxes to two of the shelters we dealt with this week. So if you adopt a dog from Oak Ridge Animal Shelter or Blount County Animal Center in the near future you may be getting a rubber chicken in you gift bag. Big thank you to Ryan for loading the entire pallet into his truck, and going along with my insane adventures.
