We’re excited to share that the MOMENTA Professional Company will join the upcoming spring program as guest artists. This is a valuable opportunity for Junior Company dancers to be immersed in physically integrated work and to collaborate closely with our professional artists throughout the process.

What were we doing in 2016???

We were presenting Re-Membering, a powerful work by renowned dancer and choreographer Alice Sheppard, inspired by dancer Ginger Lane’s memories of the Holocaust.

That year, MOMENTA performed the piece on our own stage and brought it to Spring to Dance in St. Louis.

Fun fact: our current Artistic Director, Sarah Najera, was one of the performers in this work, years before stepping into the director role!

[Image Description: Five dancers are seen on a dark stage, clustered closely around dancer Ginger Lane, who is seated in her power chair and reaching forward with one arm. Four other dancers crouch and lean in around her; one of them is seated in a wheelchair. Behind the group, a musician stands slightly apart, playing the oboe. The dancers wear neutral-toned costumes, and the scene is lit with soft, natural stage lighting against a black background.]
