Today I had the honor of working with Courtney Meyer as she lead the HOBY Youth Leadership Michigan conference which is 3 days long. What a great day packaging over 10,000 meals with students from all over Michigan. They will be entering 11th grade this next school year. I loved the energy, enthusiasm and dedication from these students.They learned about Leadership, Service and Fellowship while making new friends and serving their communities.

Kiwanis District Convention was held in Bay City Michigan and KCAH had the opportunity to package 10,152 meals with 75 Kiwanians from all over Michigan. It was absolutely fantastic. The U.S. Coast Guard also stopped by to help us. All the food stayed right in Bay City Public Schools. These meals will go home with the students over the weekend so they have nutritional meals. Thank you Kiwanis for always supporting Kids Coalition Against Hunger!

Packaging at St. Isidore Church. All food to stay in Macomb & St. Clair County. In 2 hours, 600 volunteers, packaged over 100,000 meals.

We also had volunteers that helped with tied fleece blankets. Some of the students were from Key Clubs Bishop Foley, Eisenhower, and UAIS. The blankets are for , when completed they are given to children in hospitals.
We used the scraps and taught the Girl Scouts how to make doggie toys.

Thank you St. Isidore Church for sponsoring the KCAH packaging. 60,000 meals will stay in Macomb County. The Marines will be delivering 20,000 meals to Peurto Rico.

Additional volunteers helped with our Kiwanis Shoe Drive. We received 500 pairs of shoes. Kiwanis supporters brought their children who helped sort and rubberband the shoes. Thank you. We were able to help save 100 babies.

We thank volunteers and supporters for helping package 80,000 meals in 2 hours. Anchor Bay Key Club donated $221 which is about 800 meals.
