Grover and Pals

Grover and Pals My pals and I had a rough start but are now living the high life!! Hang out with my pals and I and help us help others!

My name is Grover and I want you to be my pal! I had a rough start to life but now things are awesome! I was found frozen to the ground on the south side of Chicago after a dog attacked me. The nice lady that found me had to pour hot water on me to peel me off the ground but after some TLC I'm a happy guy who has no teeth! I want to raise awareness for animals that haven’t been as lucky as I’ve been and find them homes!

Smokey was found wandering alone near a village church outside Chișinău Moldova, underweight and in need of help.

A local villager contacted Svetlana, the founder of Animal Terra, and she drove out to get him that same day. She made sure he was dewormed and vaccinated, then set him up with food, clean water, shelter, and a safe place to rest.

Smokey is a happy dog now. He is healthy, eating well, and finally getting the care and attention he was missing before.

Now he needs a sponsor to help cover his food, medical care, and ongoing support.

Sponsor Smokey through Grover and Pals and help Animal Terra continue giving him the safe, stable life he deserves. Link in bio.

Rocky has fully embraced the spoiled life at Chandani’s Rescue. 😂

She went from surviving on the streets of Jomsom to getting all the attention, snacks, and affection she can handle.

Rocky is one of 50+ rescue animals who call Chandanis home. Including dogs and cats who are injured, elderly, disabled, or simply had nowhere else to go. Keeping all of them fed, safe, and cared for is a daily job, and monthly sponsors help make that possible.

There are still animals at Chandani’s waiting for someone in their corner. Sponsor a pal through the link in our bio. 🐾

Axel was dumped by his family and waited in the same spot for a week, believing they would come back and they never did. Then he was run over by an SUV and left for dead.

Animal Terra rushed this ten-year-old Akita to the clinic, paid for extensive testing and surgery, and spent three weeks fighting to keep him alive. Axel was left with partial loss of his sight and hearing, along with deep emotional scars.

Since then, Animal Terra has continued investing the time, care, and money needed to help him recover. Today, Axel is safe in a private foster home, where he is slowly learning to trust people again.

Axel needs our help and is available for sponsorship through Grover and Pals. Your monthly support will help cover his foster home, food, medical care, and the dignified life Animal Terra has worked so hard to give him.

Little Fox needs a sponsor.

Named for adorable, obvious reasons, Fox was found alone on the street by .terra.shelter, who placed him with a foster family and hoped this tiny, impossibly fluffy puppy had finally caught a break.

Then everything changed when Fox went quiet, stopped eating and started shaking violently.

Svetlana rushed him to the vet, where the news was frightening: Piroplasmosis, a tick-borne illness that can become deadly very quickly. For two long days, Fox hung on by a thread while everyone who loved him waited and hoped.

Today, Fox is out of the clinic and starting the gentlest chapter of his story: recovery. He still has medicine to take, strength to rebuild, and follow-up care ahead of him, but the hardest part is behind him.

Now this little fox needs someone in his corner.

Sponsoring Fox helps support his food, medicine, vet care, and the daily care he needs while he grows into the healthy, happy dog he was always meant to become.

The little fox who almost didn’t make it is going to grow up after all.

If you can, please consider becoming Fox’s sponsor. Link in Bio!

Our girl Rocky is feeling better!! The surgery went smoothly, her incision is healing, and she is back to her usual self at the shelter. Spaying is one of the most important things a shelter can do for a dog's long-term health, and it also means fewer puppies born into life on the street.

Rocky lives at in Pokhara, Nepal. You can sponsor a dog there and every dollar of your sponsorship goes directly to the shelter. It helps pay for food, operations and medical care like Rocky's surgery, .

My sweet girl is growing up! I may have only had one day with her but Rocky means the world to me and I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am for for taking her in and caring for her and all their animals.

The truly remarkable thing about this is that there’s no trust fund or corporate money or government help behind this. It’s ONE woman who moved across the world away from her family to work so she can fund the operations at the shelter. This is a level of dedication and sacrifice that is hard to wrap your head around.

Check out the link in our bio and sponsor one of the animals at Chandanis!!

Eve is just one of the almost 500 dogs that Empathy Unlimited cares for. Eve is also not unique in that she was found in heartbreaking circumstance and nursed back to health by the amazing team at EU.

These are the faces that we are raising money for so that EU can secure their own land and be protected from future persecution. If you can please donate and if not please share so that we can spread awareness of this amazing cause.

Thank you!!

I’ve never told the full story of how Grover and Pals and want to do so because it’s taken a lot to get where we are.

I adopted Grover off Craigslist in March of 2008. He was found on the south side of Chicago after being attacked by a dog and had to have hot water poured on him to get him off the ground. I had no business taking in a third animal, but his story touched me, and he ended up being such a special part of my life for the next ten and a half years. When he passed, I knew I wanted to do something to honor his memory, I just didn’t know what yet.

When I started Grover and Pals, I didn’t know quite what to do. I just knew I wanted to help the other Grovers of the world. I volunteered, I fostered, and I donated where I could, but it never had a real focus. What brought it together were the amazing people I’ve met along the way. It started with Aditi at Empathy Unlimited in India, and a dog of theirs named Ranger who was found in terrible shape and rescued. Then there was Chandani’s rescue in Nepal, which I think is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been to. And finally a puppy named Rocky who changed my life forever.

Over the last year it’s hit me that Aditi and Chandani aren’t alone. There are thousands of people like them, doing unbelievable work for animals in the toughest circumstances, and they need help. That is the Grover and Pals mission: to help fund animal shelters in developing countries by connecting people directly with the animals who need them and the people caring for them.

We’ve built a sponsorship system into our website that lets you sponsor animals at these amazing shelters, and I’ll be sharing more on it very soon.

For now, thank you, sincerely, to everyone who has followed, liked, shared, and donated. It means the world, to me and to them.

All the best,
Mark

🚨 THESE ARE THE DOGS WE ARE FIGHTING FOR 🚨

When we talk about helping Empathy Unlimited secure a permanent home for more than 400 rescued dogs, we’re talking about dogs like these.

Badu was just a puppy when she was hit by a car. Her injuries were so severe that she lost her paws. Today, she is safe, loved, and receives the ongoing care she needs.

Eve was found suffering beneath a parked car with a devastating eye injury. Despite every effort to save it, her eye had to be removed. She now has a second chance because someone stopped to help.

Ranger suffered a horrific head injury that left him fighting for his life. He also lost an eye as a result of his injuries. Today, he is alive because Empathy Unlimited refused to give up on him.

These are the kinds of animals that arrive at their shelter every day. Animals that many people would walk past. Animals that need medical care, rehabilitation, and often a lifetime of support.

Recently, Empathy Unlimited was informed that they must relocate and have been given six months to secure a new home. To protect the future of the dogs in their care, they are working to purchase land and build a permanent shelter.

Grover & Pals is helping raise $10,000 USD to support that effort.
This isn’t about expansion. It’s about making sure dogs like Badu, Eve, Ranger, and hundreds of others continue to have a place to go when they need it most.

If you’d like to help, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Every contribution helps move them closer to a permanent home.
