My name is Grover and I want you to be my pal! I had a rough start to life but now things are awesome! I was found frozen to the ground on the south side of Chicago after a dog attacked me. The nice lady that found me had to pour hot water on me to peel me off the ground but after some TLC I'm a happy guy who has no teeth! I want to raise awareness for animals that haven’t been as lucky as I’ve been and find them homes!

My mom sent me this video yesterday of Waffles who was a foster dog I took in a few years ago and ultimately had to put down. It makes me very sad to watch knowing how things turned out but I think it’s important to share because there are a million waffles out there. She was such a good dog but had been so badly abused there were parts of her that couldn’t heal.

One of her things was that she would stop while we were out and not move. I don’t know what it was but there were many times where I carried her for blocks home. She would walk for my mom though who was probably her favorite person.

There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t think of her and wished I could have done more but take solace that she had a year where she was loved. Rest easy sweet girl.

Do you remember our latest virtual adoptee Zlata? She was rescued by .terra.shelter with a metal chain embedded in her neck.

After a successful surgery she is in an amazing foster home and doing great! She is learning to trust again and what it means to be loved.

Thank you to Animal Terra for all that you have done for her. If you dont already please follow and show them some love. We can’t wait to watch this sweet girl continue to heal and come out of her shell.

Meet Eve, our newest virtual adoptee!!

She was found cowering under a car in Kalyan East, in rough shape with a really horrific eye injury. Empathy Unlimited got her off the street and made sure she got the care she needed which included removing her eye, but that hasn’t slowed her down at all!

Now she’s safe, healthy, and finding her voice. Literally!

Empathy Unlimited has helped hundreds of dogs like eve. If you don’t already, please follow them and show some love for the amazing work they do for animals in need.

Welcome Zlata, our newest virtual adoptee 💛

Zlata was found as a stray in Moldova with a heavy chain embedded in her neck. After days of trying, the team at Animal Terra was able to catch her, bring her to the vet, and safely remove the chain.

Now she is recovering, eating, and finally getting the care and kindness she has always deserved.

We are so grateful to Animal Terra for rescuing Zlata, and for the extraordinary work they do every day for animals in Moldova.

Currently, the shelter has over 220 dogs on site, 19 dogs and puppies in foster care, and about 80 dogs fostered and fed at various locations in the city and surrounding areas. Svetlana, the owner of the shelter, keep 20 dogs at home, of which at least six are waiting for homes.

Animal Terra also has a beautiful Dog for Dog Sponsorship, where dogs around the world “share their treats” with a shelter dog in need, which we think is a great initiative. Please follow Animal Terra and help support the amazing work they do 💛

Hey all, I wanted to share an update on our very first virtual adoptee Ranger, who is living his best life at Empathy Unlimited in Dombivli India

It’s amazing to see how far he has come from being found in the worst possible conditions to now running around like a goofball and tackling people for kisses. It is an incredible transformation.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has donated so far to help Chandani Animal Rescue in Pokhara, Nepal.
We’ve raised $2,100 and our so close to our 3,000 goal. Construction is underway and any help you can give to help us finish and stay in good standing with the city while continuing to provide a loving home to 45 rescue dogs and cats is greatly appreciated!

Our virtual adoptee Himmat who was found with a maggot infested head wound eating rocks and taken in by the amazing team has passed away from kidney failure on account of old age. It is sad that he is gone but there is comfort that he knew love and compassion and kindness in his final months. Rest easy sweet boy, say hi to everyone for us. Please follow Empathy Unlimited and show them some love so they can continue to help the Himmats of the world.
